OASIS: Opening Doors for Foreign Tech Startups

Your Solid Partner for Foreign Tech Startups: The OASIS Program


OASIS (Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System) is built upon the tech startup visa (D-8-4), newly established by the Ministry of Justice in 2013, to attract foreign tech startups and outstanding global talent to Korea. 


Through OASIS, foreign entrepreneurs gain opportunities for free patent applications, various startup support, and the ability to start a business under the same conditions as Koreans without the need for 100 million KRW in capital.


University of Ulsan X OASIS: Successful 2025 Program

The collaborative education program between the University of Ulsan and OASIS successfully concluded, running for three days from April 11th to 13th, 2025. This program was designed to provide practical assistance to foreign entrepreneurs, and it concluded successfully with a high satisfaction rating (4.91 out of 5) from participants.

Key Course Contents:

  • Understanding of Immigration Laws & Regulations: Essential legal knowledge for doing business in Korea.
  • Understanding of Korean Society & Culture: In-depth understanding of Korean society for successful settlement.
  • Understanding of Business Management & Tax System: Financial and tax knowledge for efficient business operations.
  • Practice Presentation Before Investors: Practical know-how for attracting investment.
  • Business Plan Writing & Real Estate Practice: Practical knowledge needed for startup preparation and actual operation.

Graduates of this course receive priority selection for OASIS programs (mentoring, startup incubation, corporate establishment support, business commercialization support) and are granted 10 OASIS points.
