What is HOW.U?
HOW.U is short for ‘Hang Out with Us’. It is organized for the purpose of supporting International students and sharing a variety of activities and events for Korean and international students. The club was established in 2016 and is currently under the umbrella of the UOU Office of International Affairs and Education.

Club Activity
HOW.U hosts various programs and events(parties) for international students to make it easier for them to get accustomed to both Korean and Ulsan life, and to interact with Korean students. By planning and carrying out on-campus global programs, Korean students also can have chances to socialize with international students and get exposed to different cultures without having to go abroad.

What is Buddy Program?
The aim of the Buddy Programme is to promote intercultural encounters between Korean and international students. The Buddy program is designed to help the international students as they adapt to the campus life, and cultivate the stronger cross-cultural awareness of Korean students participating in the program.

What is Tutoring Program?
Tutoring Program is intended to help international students who are in need of the academic support. Tutee will be matched 1:! with Tutor and may receive one-on-one tutoring each week. The purpose of this program is to improve underachieved students' learning skills and enhance their academic motivation.

What is Counselling Center for International Students?
Office of International Affairs and Education provides international students counseling programs concerning their studies, school life, and other academic matters. OIAE supports students’ adaptation and helps them to resolve and overcome their difficulties in mind.

· Eligibility: Enrolled International Students
· Hours of Operation: 13:00 ~ 16:00 (Mon~Fri)

Counselling Service
- The Counseling Center offers a variety of services to support student success.
· Information about college life (Dormitory, Insurance etc)
· Adjustment issues
· Concerns about academic issues(Poor Motivation, Concentration Problems, Test Anxiety etc)
· Transitioning into and out of college
· Problems on finding a part-time job
· Worries and anxiety about COVID-19 etc

Goals
1) To increase the student satisfaction by offering the psychological counseling and implementing the dropout prevention plans to keep students from dropping out
2) To detect students at high drop-out risk early and intervene them effectively
