University of Ulsan announced that Kang Moon-ki, CEO of Hanjoo ENC Co., Ltd., donated a total of KRW 5 million in scholarships to 9 international students at the International Building on the 20th of May. CEO Kang has been consistently supporting scholarship programs for international students at his alma mater since 2022. The scholarship recipients include four students from China, two from Vietnam, and one each from Italy, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. One student received 1 million KRW, while the remaining eight each received KRW 5 million.
Le Thi Nhan (26), a student majoring in Korean Language and Literature at the University of Ulsan, expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s not easy to raise a child while studying, especially under difficult financial circumstances. Thanks to this scholarship, I can ease some of my financial burden and focus more on my studies.”
To honor the donor's intention, the University of Ulsan has named this scholarship program the “Kang Moon-ki Scholarship.”
CEO Kang remarked, “International students studying at the UOU are also our alumni. I sincerely hope that each of them will achieve their dreams and goals, even while studying in a foreign environment.”
