On April 24, the UOU Korean Language Center hosted a DIY Korean cultural activity designed to deepen students’ understanding of Korean culture and inspire greater motivation in their Korean language studies. During the session, students created miniature versions of Cheongsachorong (청사초롱)—traditional Korean lanterns historically used during royal banquets and celebratory occasions among the noble class.
While engaging in the hands-on craft activity, students also had the opportunity to learn about the cultural significance and historical background of these elegant lanterns, enriching their appreciation of Korean heritage.
This event served as a meaningful educational experience that blended creativity with cultural exploration. |
