On Friday, March 28, 2025, our international students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Ulsan Ecocultural Exploration in collaboration with the Nam-gu Office.

This special program was proudly supported by the Department of Tourism of Nam-gu Office, Ulsan City.

Throughout the day, students explored Ulsan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, experiencing unique landmarks and engaging activities. Here’s a glimpse of their meaningful journey:

The program offered a full-day journey into the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Ulsan. The students began their exploration at the Gungeorang Cherry Blossom Festival, where they admired the breathtaking cherry blossoms in full bloom. The spring scenery provided the perfect opening to the day’s experience.

Next, they visited the Taehwagang National Garden, where they learned about the migratory birds that travel through Ulsan each year. At the Migratory Bird Promotion Hall, students engaged with interactive displays and enjoyed an immersive 5D video presentation, deepening their understanding of Ulsan’s ecological significance.

They explored the Whale Culture Village, including the whimsical Whales Fantasy Museum, followed by visits to the Whale Museum, Ecological Experience Hall, and Ulsan Ship, where they learned about the city’s whaling history, marine ecology, and industrial development.

The day concluded with a stop at the Jangsaengpo Culture Warehouse, home to the Jigwan Library and a panoramic view of the surrounding industrial complex — a meaningful contrast between nature, culture, and industry.

Throughout the trip, students actively shared their experiences by posting photos and reflections on social media, helping to promote the beauty and cultural richness of Ulsan to a global audience. The field trip served not only as an educational and cultural exchange, but also as a memorable opportunity to connect with the local community and environment.
