The University of Ulsan is now accepting applications for the Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G) for Fall Semester 2026. For the students who are willing to apply for GKS, please refer to the information below.
1. Degree Programs A. Master’s degree: 1-year Korean language program + 2-year master’s program B. Doctoral degree: 1-year Korean language program + 3-year doctoral program ※ Applicants who have obtained TOPIK Level 5 or higher are exempt from the Korean language training program. 2. Selection Schedule
A. Application Period 1) Scanned documents: Submit all application materials by March 31, 2026 via email. 2) Original documents: Send the original application materials to the University of Ulsan so that they arrive by April 17, 2026. B. Announcement of recommended candidates: Early June 2026 C. Final Announcement of GKS Scholars: Late June 2026
3. Application Guideline A. Application Track: R-GKS B. How to Apply: Refer to the notification on the Study in Korea website and the attachments, Applicants must submit both scanned copies and original documents of all required materials to the University. 1) Scanned documents: Submit all application materials by March 31, 2026 via email (uouinternational@naver.com) *Recommendation Letter: A scanned copy is not required, and it must be submitted sealed by the recommender. 2) Email subject line: Use “Submission of 2026 GKS-G Application” for easy tracking 3) Original documents: Send the original application materials to the University of Ulsan so that they arrive by April 17, 2026 a.
