University of Ulsan organized the Ulsan Ecology field trip for exchange students on April 12, 2024. This program, generously sponsored by the Ulsan Namgu Office, aims to provide exchange students with a deeper understanding of their host city, Ulsan Namgu. During the trip, students began by visiting the migratory bird center, where they immersed themselves in a 5D animation showcasing Korean migratory birds. Additionally, they experienced Korean culture firsthand by participating in traditional dance while wearing beautiful hanbok. Next on the itinerary was a visit to Taehwagang Cave-pia. This unique cave boasts captivating features such as a refreshing artificial waterfall, an enchanting fountain, and a mesmerizing digital sketch aquarium. Students savored the flavors of bibimbap, a beloved traditional dish, during their lunch break. At Jangsaegpo Whale Museum and Village, students delved into Ulsan's history of whaling and even had the opportunity to try on old-school uniforms, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the village in the past. Finally, the day concluded with a visit to Seonam Lake Park. In a calm place, students walked slowly, enjoying a break from the busy campus life. Overall, the Ulsan Ecology field trip provided exchange students with invaluable insights into the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Ulsan Namgu, fostering a deeper connection to their host city. |
