Announcement of the video contest for foreigners in 2025
We are pleased to announce the “2025 Foreign Video Contest,” which aims to highlight the beauty of Ulsan through videos that capture the city from a foreigner’s perspective. 1. Name of the contest: A video contest for Ulsan Viewed by Foreigners 2. Reception period: November 19, 2025 (Tue) 09:00 to December 18, 2025 (Thu) 23:59 4. Eligibility to apply: Foreign residents of Ulsan Metropolitan City and foreign students of University of Ulsan - You must live in Ulsan or attend a university in Ulsan - Korean students can participate jointly only when they are with foreign team members - Individuals or teams can participate. Teams are limited to no more than four members 5. The theme of the contest: Ulsan from the perspective of foreigners
6. Type of work ○ Vlog, parody, music video, animation, whatever genre ○ File type: mp4, move, etc ○ Language: Freedom (but English or Korean subtitles required) ○ Image size (resolution): FHD 1920×1080 pixels or more ○ Volume: 30 seconds or more and 5 minutes or less (short, horizontal, and vertical images can all be used) ※ It is a pure creation produced during the competition period, and there must be no history of winning any other competition 7. How to participate ○ Submission materials: Video file, application for participation, pledge ○ Method of submission: All documents submitted and video are received by e-mail (E-mail: uou_talent@mail.ulsan.ac.kr) ※ For award-winning works, the original file (automatically) must be submitted
8. Examination criteria ○ Planning ability (30 points): Understanding of Ulsan and appropriateness of planning ○ Completion (30 points): Structured story, technical completion ○ Originality (20 points): New material and original visual beauty ○ Utilization (20 points): Possibility of use as a promotional video ※ Judges: Around five (experts and professors of related departments, etc.) 9. Announcement of the winning work: December 19, 2025, individual notification 10. Details of the award: KRW 1,200,000 in prize money, award (Unit: 10,000 won)

11. Precautions ○ One person (team) can apply for one entry, and only the video produced during the contest period is recognized, and the authenticity of the filming date must be proved by the exhibitor ○ Entries must be pure creations produced by themselves after the announcement date ○ Submitted documents and works are not returned at all ○ The entry shall not infringe on the intellectual property rights, moral rights, portrait rights, or trademark rights of others ○ All works shall not be conspired if they damage the reputation of others, disseminate illegal information, copyright, portrait rights, etc., and the exhibitor is responsible for all civil and criminal disputes such as copyrights ※ In the case of drone photography, it is limited to works that comply with the relevant laws and regulations, and in the case of works that require submission of relevant evidentiary documents, the evidentiary materials must be attached ○ At the same time as the application, the applicant shall be deemed to have allowed the use of the work (the winning work) within the scope of the usage method and conditions stated in the contest, and the fee for the use of the winning work may be replaced by the prize money for the winning work ○ Organizers may reproduce and transmit winning works for non-profit and public interest purposes, and may create secondary works with permission through separate agreement with the winners ○ In the event of a problem, such as infringement of the rights of others or a dispute, the prize is canceled and the prize money is recovered even after the prize ○ If it is not your own work (plagiarism, etc.), it is a similar work submitted to another contest, or if there is a legal dispute, it shall not be excluded from the examination, and if the fact is revealed after the award, no objection shall be made to the cancellation of the award or the return of the prize money ○ If the application falls short of the criteria for examination, the winning work may not be selected ○ The examination process, scores, etc. shall be private, and the exhibitor shall not raise any objection to the details of the examination ○ The schedule of the contest is subject to change depending on the organizers' circumstances 12.
